My name is Lindsay Bullis and I’m a self-taught artist from Milwaukee, WI. I am the shop owner of Whimsical Art by Lindsay! I create hand painted original acrylic paintings, fine art prints, custom paintings, murals, and other hand-painted items. I’m also a painting instructor and teach classes for special events. Many of my paintings are inspired by nature or fantasy elements and I add my unique artistic touch to make every piece feel dreamy and magical. I achieve this by painting with vibrant colors, precise details, smooth blending techniques and putting my heart and soul into everything I create.

 Why?

I am a proud mother to two boys. They are my biggest inspirations when I decided to take the plunge and turn my painting hobby into a small business. I wanted to set an example that anything you want to do in life is possible and to never doubt yourself if you are passionate about something.

I started painting and drawing in high school and I fell in love with it. I found the act of creating to be therapeutic for me and a good way to cope with my anxiety and depression. Putting my thoughts and feelings into creating something helps me feel better and in turn forms something beautiful for others to enjoy as well.

I’ve grown so much on my art journey so far, but there is always more growth to be had! I want to reach as many people as I can with my art in the hopes that it brings others as much happiness as it has brought to me. I would love to be able to someday say I was able to support my family by doing something I loved, which is the ultimate goal right? Painting is something that is deeply personal to me and it makes me feel truly honored and excited when someone chooses to own my work as I put everything I am into what I create. I’m looking towards the future in hopes that I can someday make art my full-time living and make my own footprint on the art world.
